Provides guidance on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) for investors.

Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Alignment
This pillar provides technical guidance on using the world’s most widely adopted framework for sustainability reporting. In 2026, this includes the mandatory integration of the GRI 14: Mining Sector Standard and the updated Biodiversity (GRI 101) and Climate Change standards. By utilizing the common global language of GRI, Zimbabwean businesses can provide audit-ready data on their economic, environmental, and social impacts, ensuring their disclosures are credible, comparable, and transparent to international partners.
Investor-Ready ESG Disclosure
Focusing on the growing demand from capital markets, this service prepares businesses for the “Green Finance” ecosystem. It aligns corporate reporting with the ZSE Practice Note 16 and VFEX Practice Note 2, which mandate sustainability disclosures for listed entities. By structuring data around the three core pillars—Environmental (emissions/waste), Social (labor/community), and Governance (anti-corruption/board diversity)—companies can lower their risk profile and improve their eligibility for sustainable debt and equity funding.
Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Materiality
This component shifts reporting from a compliance exercise to a tool for long-term value creation through “Double Materiality.” It involves identifying and prioritizing the sustainability issues that matter most to an organization’s specific stakeholders—including shareholders, regulators, and local communities. By engaging directly with these groups, businesses can identify emerging risks early and demonstrate a clear link between their sustainability performance and their overall corporate resilience and legitimacy.
